A Grambling State University student is in stable condition Monday night after being shot in the leg during a fight on campus, a school spokesman says.
The student was rushed by ambulance to Ruston General Hospital. His name was not revealed but he is from New Orleans, Grambling spokesman Will Sutton says.
Grambling's Campus Police is the only agency investigating. No one is in custody, Sutton says, adding that he is not sure just yet if police have a suspect or are even looking for a suspect.
The fight occurred Monday evening near a dormitory formerly called Building 800. The number of people involved remains unclear, Sutton says.
