Northwestern State sports fans have plenty to enjoy next Saturday, April 20, beginning with the 24th Annual Joe Delaney Bowl spring football game along with home softball and baseball contests and the annual Lady Demon soccer spring alumni game.

New head coach Jay Thomas will send the Demon football team into its final spring practice with the Joe Delaney Bowl starting at noon next Saturday.  The Lady Demon softball team begins a Southland Conference doubleheader at 3 against Houston Baptist, and at 4, the Demon baseball team takes on Lamar at Brown-Stroud Field. The soccer alumni game begins at 6 at the NSU Soccer Complex.

Admission to the Joe Delaney Bowl and the soccer alumni match are free of charge. Tickets to baseball and softball may be purchased online at nsudemons.com, over the phone at (318) 357-4268 or at the game.

Early arrivals for the Delaney Bowl will be rewarded. The first 200 fans in Turpin Stadium will receive a Demon football schedule poster.  Prior to the game, fans are encouraged to tailgate in the Demon Alley where inflatable games and face painting will be available for the kids.  Tailgating space in the Demon Alley will be open on a first-come, first-served basis.
