CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A teacher at Woodlawn High School was arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on Tuesday on an obscenity charge, the Caddo Sheriff's Office says.

Deputies say Michael D. Parsons was overseeing in-school suspension at the high school on February 13 when he was accused of showing an obscene photo to a 19-year-old female in the class. The picture was on Parsons' cell phone.

After obtaining a search warrant for Parsons' phone, Caddo Sheriff's Detective Jared Marshall arrested the 36-year-old teacher/coach at his home in the 3900 block of Oakcrest in Shreveport.
