Doyline's Brittany Bates has master the mat. She's been wrestling for the past three years for Doyline's high school team. The ninth grader remembers her first day at practice.
"Coach said that he needed a volunteer to show a move and I stepped out there," said Bates. "I went straight to my back and he slammed me. From then on I was like, oh I like this!"
Bates won the Oklahoma Championships in early March, then placed second at the National Championship and earned All-American status.
