911 call released in Caddo bus accident that critically injured driver

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

The 911 calls for help after Caddo School bus crash have been released to KSLA News 12.

A Caddo Parish school bus driver is was critically injured after his bus hit a metal pole outside Caddo Middle Magnet in the Cedar Grove neighborhood Monday morning.

Police say it happened in the 7600 block of Cornelious Lane.

The driver is identified as Robert McAdams. Caddo school officials say McAdams was bringing a load of students to class when his bus, No. 477, collided with a pole just after 7 a.m.

The pole pierced the side of the bus impaling McAdams. He was rushed to LSU Medical Center with critical injuries. A portion of the driver's right leg had to be amputated. Robert McAdams is now recovering at his home.
