LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -
Three people are dead following a shooting at McMillian Park in north Lake Charles on Wednesday night, according to Lake Charles Police.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. at the park on Goos Boulevard. Authorities said earlier that at least four people were shot.
It wasn't known Thursday morning what exactly happened or who was involved.
KPLC's Theresa Schmidt is speaking to concerned neighbors in the area. Some residents have come to the park to share their grief and meditate. There is an arrangement of flowers where one of the victims died.
The park is located next to Sunlight Manor Apartments.
