Friday was a day to play in the mud as some students and faculty with Trinity Christian School in Texarkana experienced a portion of Mud Trek 2013.
"It is a little wet and a little muddy. So far, I got this," says student Laura McDowel.
Laura may have it, but many struggled through the trek.
The Mud Trek is a fundraiser for the school to help offset tuition fees for students. The trek is a 5K run with 10 different obstacle stations. The first casualty in Friday's practice was school Superintendent Ron Fellows.
"I lost my wedding ring, which is not good. I am sorry, babe."
The actual trek is slated for April 27, and so far more than 250 people have signed up to take part. Organizers say there is room for more.
"We have people registered from Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana. We are hoping Oklahoma will pull through for us," school official Tammy Waters says.
