ETX library selling thousands of books for under a buck!

Thousands and thousands of books will be going on sale Thursday morning at the Tyler Public Library, all of them under a dollar!

"You could get your winter supply of reading for almost peanuts,"says volunteer Nick Sciarrini.

"We have lots of books on history, cookbooks, crafts, there's a little bit for everybody," says Librarian Mary Vernau.

Volunteers have worked all week to setup the sale.

"We've put the tables up on Sunday and we're still not done yet, and it's now Wednesday," says Sciarrini.

Emma Evans came with her mother to help organize the books.

"She [her mother] noticed that they didn't have very much help and they needed some help to get sorted out. So she asked us if it would be ok if we came out to help in the morning and we thought that would be pretty cool," says Evans.

Vernau hopes to make three to four thousand dollars.

"We're expanding our children's area so we really are trying to beef up that part of the materials budget and get some new things for the kids, we're focused on early literacy," says Vernau.

The sale begins Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Tyler Public Library, and will continue until Sunday.
