SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police say results from DNA tests have landed a man accused of several burglaries behind bars.

Police say over the past few months, they have responded to four burglaries on Line Avenue.

Investigators say DNA evidence recovered from the crime scenes linked 47-year-old Kevin Cotton to the break-ins. When police arrived at Cotton's house to arrest him, they found some of the items that had been taken from different businesses. They also recovered more than 100 stolen credit cards.

Cotton is charged with four counts of simple burglary.

Investigators say they believe Cotton may be responsible for other burglaries in the area.
