The Trinity Valley Lady Cardinals are headed to the national tournament for an amazing seventh straight year. It makes sense that they would want to add East Texan Roddrick Patton to the roster.
Winning big is nothing new to Patton. The former Neches star played in four straight state tournaments. Patton won state her final three years of high school. In her first year college season, Patton has a shot at another championship.
"I feel very spoiled," said Patton. "At the regional's I was like 'This never gets old.' I can't stop."
Patton comes off the bench as a freshman, but is considered a big part of the team success.
"Roddricka Patton is a winner," said Trinity Valley head coach Elena Lovato. "I knew it when I got the job and brought her here to play with the national championship team. She was playing full court in a pickup game. She's probably the spark and life of our program. She practices the same everyday."
The No. 1 ranked Lady Cardinals open the national tournament on Tuesday afternoon in Salina, Kansas.
