Funeral services announced for Barksdale Airman

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, LA (KSLA) -

Funeral services for Barksdale Airman Technical Sgt. Larry Bunn, 43, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Bellaire Baptist Church, 1210 Bellaire Blvd. in Bossier City.

Bunn, an Airman from the 307th Maintenance Squadron, died March 7 while deployed in support of an operation in Asia.

Bunn died from non-battle injuries. He had been deployed to an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia since Sept. 2012. He was due to return home this month.

Bunn was born in Texas but most recently lived in Bossier City. He has served in the Air Force since 1987. Bunn started with the 2nd Maintenance Munitions Squadron. In 1990 he switched to the 917th Reserve Wing. Most recently he worked as a full-time Aerospace Group Equipment Technician.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Boone Funeral Home at 2156 Airline Drive in Bossier City.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Bellaire Baptist Church.
