A viral and persistent spam attack has hit Facebook once again, purporting to show pornographic images of Rihanna if users follow the provided link.
The spam shows an explicit image that is photoshopped to look like the pop star and includes a vague description such as, "I can't believe Rihanna did this."
Another common version of the spam attack, which originally surfaced more than a year ago, shows a fake image of reality star Kim Kardashian.
According to multiple online reports, the inappropriate links are posted automatically from the accounts of people who have previously clicked a similar link. Once the link is clicked, Facebook pages, groups and events that the user follows are hit multiple times in the comments of their posts with the spam.
One online report intentionally allowed their Facebook account to be spammed to test the results, and found that their account successfully spammed each page they were linked to as many as 11 times.
