Both suspects wanted in the shooting death of a Marshall man have been charged with murder.
Police say 32-year-old Jason Stevens Rand and 22-year-old Oriel Jacinta Alexander have been charged with the murder of 28-year-old David James Cherry. Rand has also been charged with drug possession.
Rand and Alexander have both been moved to the Harris County Jail in Houston, Texas.
Police believed the two may have been headed to the Houston area, last seen driving a white 2003 Chevrolet Malibu with Texas plates DM3C338. Surrounding law enforcement as well as authorities in the Houston area were notified.
Alexander was initially booked into the Houston Police Department Southeast Jail, and Rand was booked into the Houston Police Department Central Jail.
Cherry was found dead in his Georgetown Rd. home early Friday morning with a single gunshot wound to the head, after a 911 call alerted police that there was a man covered in blood unable to come to the door.
Surveillance video of two 'persons of interest' was released on Friday afternoon, showing a male and a female knocking on and then entering and exiting the front door of Cherry's home several times shortly before the murder is believed to have taken place.
