After two games nothing has been decided between the top two teams in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference as Centenary baseball drew a split with Trinity following Saturday's doubleheader. The Gents rallied back from a 3-0 decision in the opener with an 11-1 victory in the nightcap.

Centenary moves to 11-4 on the season while Trinity stands at 15-3. Both squads are tied at 6-2 in conference action.

Series final scheduled for Sunday, Mar. 10 at 1 p.m.

Matt Creamer led the Maroon and White at the dish with four hits in the twinbill, including a 3-for-5 effort in the second outing with three RBI and two runs scored.

Taylor Henry (2-1) registered the win on the mound with a complete-game effort. Henry allowed five hits and four walks in the outing.

The Maroon and White leading 4-1 after five frames put the affair out of reach in the sixth inning with a five spot. Centenary tallied the run total on three hits and capitalizing on two Tiger errors. Creamer logged two of his team-leading RBI in the inning with a double to right center scoring Nic Parrott and Zach Stephenson.

Christian Sebastien plated the first run of the frame with a RBI single pushing Craig Littleman across the dish.

The Maroon and White added an insurance run in the seventh and eighth innings en route to the decision, including Jemari James' RBI double to score Andre McKendall to end the outing.

A pair of Gents joined Creamer with multiple RBI in the affair. Tyler Clakley added his pair on sacrifice flies coming in the first and sixth innings. Parrott's contributions came in the fourth inning on a single down the right field line.

TU used five hurlers in the outing as Andrew Alig (0-1) was saddled with the loss pitching 5.0 innings in relief.

In the opener Tiger pitcher Ryan Lucero (4-0) held the Gents' bats at bay registering five strikeouts and surrendering two hits in the complete game decision.

Creamer and James supplied the only two hits for Centenary.

Trinity got two runs in the second inning on a Keven Clements' double down the left field line. The Tigers added their third and final run in the following frame as Christian Muscarello scored on a Pat Hirschberg double down the left field line.
