SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A teacher already arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a mentally challenged student is now facing more charges following an investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.
33-year-old Jeremy A. Pierce who worked at Port City Christian Academy on Greenwood Rd., was charged on Wednesday with molestation of a juvenile. Bond was set at $25,000. The offense dates back to 1996 when Pierce was 17 and committed a sexual assault on a 6-year-old girl, said Det. James Moore.
Pierce remains in the Caddo Correctional Center after being arrested on Feb. 13 for aggravated rape, sexual battery, and prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student. In that case, Pierce is accused of taking advantage of a mentally handicapped female student there at the Port City Christian Academy.
The school is located on the same property as Westview Christian Church.
Pierce's bond on the original charges was set at $750,000.
