MONROE, LA (KSLA) -

The Simsboro boys fell to Madison Prep Wednesday night in the Class B state championship game, 53-37. Simsboro had the daunting task of slowing down the Chargers big man, Jarrell Martin, a 6-7 LSU commit.

Martin sat out for parts of the first half after quickly getting two fouls but showed why he is a D-I recruit in the second half.

The Class 1A state title game between Arcadia and Country Day's boys teams tips off Thursday at 2 p.m.
