The family of a teenager who was shot and killed over the weekend speaks to KSLA News 12.

18-year-old Chauncey Broadway, or "Trey" as he's called by friends and family, was shot along with three others while inside a home in the 7000 block of Burlingame Boulevard early Saturday morning.

"Again, there's very limited information on the suspect. These people were actually inside the when the shots actually rang out," said Cpl. Marcus Hines with the Shreveport Police Department.

The teen's family says Trey loved his job at McDonalds and enjoyed hanging out with friends after work. They said he was visiting friends at the home on Burlingame Boulevard when he and three others were shot.

Police say someone fired the shots from outside, and four people were hit. Trey was the only one who died from his injuries.

Police have very little evidence to go on, and as of Tuesday evening, KSLA News 12 had not been told of any arrests in this case.

Trey's family asks the shooter, or shooters, to turn themselves in.

"You already know how the streets are in Shreveport. It's just going to end up more violence," said Chauncey Broadway Sr. Trey's dad.

Broadway tells KSLA News 12 that he couldn't believe the news when he heard it and still has problems believing that his son was killed.

If you have any information on this case, call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
