SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Calvary Baptist Academy assistant coach has been arrested for sexual battery with a student.

32-year-old Patrick Williams was arrested Friday by Shreveport police on a warrant for prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student.

Williams who works as an assistant coach for the boy's basketball team, is accused of being involved in a sexual relationship with a student who attends the school.

Police say the accusations surfaced Monday February 25th, after concerns about Williams behavior were brought to the attention of authorities by school officials.  Investigators now believe that the alleged relationship between Williams and the student may have occurred over a period of almost two years and may have taken place in multiple jurisdictions throughout Shreveport-Bossier.

Williams may also face additional charges in Bossier City after information uncovered in a joint investigation with Bossier City police revealed that Williams may have committed some of the acts at his home in the 3500 block of Ponderosa Street in Bossier City.

Following interview with investigators, Williams was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on four counts of Prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and student.  His bond is set at 40,000.00.
