SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Bond has been set at $1,264,375 for a Shreveport man who was arrested and charged with 50 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles, Attorney General Buddy Caldwell announced Friday.

Danny Owen Gorbet, Jr., 47, of 155 Spilker Avenue, was arrested at his home Wednesday as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General's High Technology Crime and Fugitive Apprehension Units, Homeland Security Investigations, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Bossier City Marshall's Office, and the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.  He was booked into the Caddo Parish Jail without incident.

Gorbet is accused of violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles.

No details have been released regarding the nature of the investigation or what prompted it.

If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.

To report suspected cases of Internet crime, contact the Attorney General's High Technology Crime Unit at 1-800-256-4506.
