SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A man walked into a Circle K just before closing, fell asleep in the restroom and awakened to an empty store. Then, according to Shreveport Police, he entered the beer cooler and drank his fill before leaving.
Then he returned for cigarettes and lighters. And then he got busted.
Shreveport Police say they were called to investigate around 5 a.m. Thursday by an employee at the Circle K store in the 300 block of Kings Highway.
The worker, who had just started a shift, was concerned because the store's front door was unlocked and ajar. Police then reviewed surveillance video, which they say shows the entire episode.
Police say they were able to find their burglar because they recognized him from having dealt with him before. They caught him "in close proximity to the business" with the stolen tobacco products and lighters.
Ronald Oskay, 43, of Shreveport, was arrested and booked on a charge of simple burglary.
