BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -
A long-awaited extension to the riverside drive we know as the Arthur Teague Parkway in Bossier City is open to traffic.
The 2.5-mile extension southbound brings the parkway from I-20 and Traffic Street to Sligo Road.
Dozens gathered and applauded as the ribbon was cut Wednesday morning to mark the opening.
The Arthur Teague Parkway already spans north along the waterfront as far as the Century Link Center and the Jimmy Davis Bridge.
