SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport Police have released surveillance video of Monday's armed robbery of a West Shreveport hotel, hoping that the public can help authorities identify and catch the robber.
The video is of the robbery that occurred at about 1:45 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Monkhouse Drive at the Days Inn hotel.
A witness at the scene told authorities that a man wearing a camouflage jacket and a red baseball cap entered the hotel and pointed a handgun at the clerk. The took an undisclosed amount of money and left.
Witnesses also told police that they saw what appeared to be a maroon-colored, four-door Lincoln, possibly a Town Car, leaving the hotel parking lot moments after the robber left the lobby.
Anyone with information about this robbery should call Shreveport Police Detectives at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
