SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport Police need the public's help to identify and catch a man who robbed a West Shreveport hotel Monday afternoon.
The incident happened about 1:45 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Monkhouse Drive, where police were called to a robbery at the Days Inn hotel.
Police say that witnesses told them that a man wearing a camouflage jacket and a red baseball cap entered the hotel and pointed a handgun at the clerk. The man then left after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.
Witnesses tell authorities that they saw what appeared to be a four-door Lincoln, possibly a Town Car, leaving the hotel parking lot moments after the robber ran from the lobby.
Detectives have surveillance video of the robbery that will be released soon.
In the meantime, anyone who has information about the robbery should call Shreveport Detectives at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
