The campus at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches has been given the "all clear" message, after a bomb threat forced an evacuation of several buildings Monday morning.

The buildings were evacuated for just over two hours after a bomb threat was called into the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts. The LSMSA, a residential high school, is located on the Northwestern State campus.

University police at Northwestern State evacuated buildings near the Louisiana School while the building was searched by the Louisiana State Police and University Police. No bomb was found.

Classes in Fournet Hall, Morrison Hall, the Family and Consumer Sciences Building, Kyser Hall, Williamson Hall, Bienvenu Hall, Russell Hall, the A.A. Fredericks Center for Creative and Performing Arts and the Friedman Student Union were canceled for the remainder of the day. The NSU Alumni Center and Watson Library were also closed.

The bomb threat is under investigation.
