An Idaho man was killed Wednesday in an industrial accident at a machine shop in Bossier City.
The accident occurred around 4:40 p.m. at Cactus Wellhead, formerly known as True Turn Machine, which is located at 4117 Meadow Lane.
59-year-old Bobby Wayne Higginson was helping to load a large, round piece of steel onto a flatbed trailer. The steel started rolling and eventually rolled over Higginson, according to Bossier Police Public Information Officer Mark Natale. Natale says the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cactus Wellhead, which bought True Turn last May, manufactures components for oil and natural gas exploration and extraction.
Higginson was employed as an independent driver for an out of state transport company.
