SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police say two of the four people they arrested last Friday during a traffic stop are linked to a shooting that seriously injured a man in January.

The arrested suspects include Jacaray Roebuck, 19 of the 3600 block of Sumner Street, Lamarquez Harris, 17 of the 2900 block of Dupont Street, Emmanuel Harris, 19 of the 2900 block of Dupont Street, Tavious Lane, 19 of the 2900 block of Woodford Street, and a 16-year-old juvenile.

The arrests came on February 15, when the Shreveport Police Department's Community Response Unit, acting on a tip, stopped a Toyota Camry traveling near the 2800 block of Jewella Avenue. Police say they had received "credible information that multiple shooting suspects were believed to be inside" the car.

During the traffic stop, officers say they determined that at least two of the men in the car were suspects in the Jan. 28 shooting of Tristin Easter, 24, of the 3500 block of Ninock Street.

Police say a search of the suspects yielded two firearms and nearly a dozen individually packaged bags of suspected marijuana. Authorities say that, of the two weapons recovered, one of them had been reported stolen and the other's serial number had been removed.

Those arrested face charges that include illegal possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, manufacturing and possession of schedule I marijuana with intent to distribute, taking contraband into a penal facility, resisting an officer and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Both Roebuck and Harris face additional charges of attempted first-degree murder for their alleged roles in the shooting of Easter.

All suspects, with the exception of the juvenile were booked into the Shreveport City Jail. The juvenile was booked in the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
