Two people arrested last week in a Natchitoches during a raid on a residence there face a number of drug-related charges, authorities announced Tuesday.

Authorities say the arrests of Chuck "Buster" Foshee Jr., 38, of Robeline, and Lauren Elizabeth Vercher, 26, of Natchitoches, closes a six-month investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamine in the Flora community of Natchitoches.

An official from the Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force says that Natchitoches SWAT members executed three search warrants on the Foshee properties, leading to "the recovery of an active methamphetamine lab."

The Natchitoches Fire Department's Haz-Mat Unit and Clandestine Laboratory Technicians surveyed the residence, and authorities say they discovered an active "one pot" meth cook.

Authorities say that, later, a more intensive search revealed multiple items used during the making of meth along with the actual meth product. Also recovered were various prescription medications, suspected marijuana, three firearms, and a number of stolen items.

Foshee was charged with the following offenses:

• Creation/Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory
• Manufacturing of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Marijuana
• Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Hydrocodone
• Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, Clonazepan
• Possession of Legend Drug,  Diazepan & Cyclobenzaprine
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Criminal Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Vercher was charged with the following:

• Creation/Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory
• Manufacturing of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Marijuana

• Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, Clonazepan
• Possession of Legend Drug,  Diazepan & Cyclobenzaprine
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Both were issued bonds of $111,000 and placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center. Additional charges are pending at this time, upon further investigation by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Division.

Authorities say more arrests are expected as their investigation continues.
