Wednesday night's Kid Rock concert at the Century Link Center in Bossier City is just one of the many upcoming events set to bring in more money for local businesses.
"Concerts like that help us a lot, and it gives us a lot of exposure," says Gumbo to Geaux owner Kevin Aycock.
Gumbo to Geaux is located just a block away from the concert venue, and he says on concert days his restaurant sees tons of people looking for a quick meal before heading out to be entertained.
According to Aycock, 60 percent of his business on Wednesday came from concert goers.
"If we are going to stop and get something to eat, that's money spent, if you are traveling that's fuel," says a Gumbo to Geaux customer.
There are more events in the coming weeks that will likely provide an economic boost to Bossier City.
Jason Aldean is coming on February 21st, comedian Mike Epps is coming on February 23rd, and on March 9th the Century Link Center will host the Shreveport Blues Fest.
