SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Three people are now behind bars after Shreveport Police say a watchful neighbor saw them breaking into the house next door.

Police say a neighbor noticed three men kick in a door at a home in the 7200 block of Marseille Drive in the Valley View neighborhood just before noon on Wednesday.

After the neighbor called police, she stayed on the phone with them until they arrived on the scene.

When police arrived, they say the three ran out of the house, jumped over a fence, and into a nearby apartment complex. That's where officers caught up with them, their pockets reportedly stuffed with watches and jewelry.

Police say they didn't get away with the flat screens they were allegedly trying to steal, either. Officers found three flat screen TVs unplugged and lined up inside the home.

Arrested were 17-year-old Keshawn Fisher, 17-year-old Charavious Coleman and a 16-year-old male juvenile. SPD Cpl. Marcus Hines says they will be charged with burglary of inhabited dwelling.

Police officers credit the neighbor for being alert and warning police about the incident.
