Nearly a month after a suspected vehicle burglar was stopped at gunpoint by Haughton residents, the man authorities believe was his accomplice is behind bars.

Rocky J. Walters, 40, of the 4100 block of Wayne Ave. in Bossier City, was arrested at his residence early Tuesday afternoon. Authorities arrested two others who were with Walters at the residence and charged them with different offenses.

Bossier Sheriff's deputies say they identified Walters as the second vehicle burglary suspect after items were stolen from vehicles in the Forest Hills area of Haughton around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 11.

On that night, a homeowner in the neighborhood caught the culprits breaking into his vehicle, and, with the help of a neighbor, was able to hold Marshall at gunpoint until Bossier deputies arrived.

A search by deputies and K-9 units for the second suspect, later identified as Walters, was unsuccessful.

Bossier Sheriff's detectives worked with the U.S. Marshals Service, who took Walters into custody Tuesday.  Agents found Walters hiding in the back bedroom of his residence.  After a brief struggle with agents, Walters was arrested and charged with six counts of simple burglary, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and resisting an officer.

Two others living in the residence were also arrested after they lied to agents about knowing the whereabouts of Walters. Drug charges were also made by the Bossier Combine Narcotics Task Force.

Elbert Cole III, 42, was charged with accessory after the fact, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, resisting an officer, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Andreaca M. Coleman, 19, was charged with accessory after the fact, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and obstruction of justice.

All were transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking, with a bond of $141,000 for Walters.  Bond for Cole and Coleman is pending.

Last month, authorities arrested Bryan M. Marshal, 24, of Adner Road in Haughton and booked him on three counts of simple battery.

Also, Marshal was arrested on a warrant out of Bossier City for access device fraud. He was taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility in Plain Dealing. Bossier City Police have levied additional charges against Marshal.
