Former DeSoto Parish School Board member Bartholomew Claiborne was charged as part of the investigation.
DESOTO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -
A federal bust that resulted in drug charges against a school board member now lands a dozen other people in jail.
U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley announced in Shreveport Friday that 15 people have been charged for selling cocaine and methamphetamine in the Mansfield area.
The investigation involved a year-long probe responsible for bringing charges against DeSoto Parish School Board member Bartholomew Claiborne. More than 7 law enforcement agencies helped in the investigation.
"It's been a great, great partnership for us. It gave us more resources and a lot of extra man power we may need," says DeSoto Sheriff Rodney Arbuckle.
Authorities plan to make three more arrests related to this investigation.
