CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A Caddo Parish jury has convicted two Shreveport men of second degree murder for the April 2009 shooting death of a teenager who died when shots were fired into a crowd.

Joshua D. Brooks, 20, and Paul Anthony Jones, 20, were found guilty in the death of Terrell Savore of the 1900 block of Patzman. Jurors deliberated just over an hour before returning the verdict to conclude the two-day trial.

Shreveport Police say Savore was shot numerous times with different weapons including an assault rifle.

Police say the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between two groups of teens, but family members say Terrell wasn't involved.

Judge Joseph Bleich set March 26 for sentencing. Second degree murder carries a life sentence in prison. Assistant District Attorneys Dale Cox and Sarah Midboe successfully prosecuted the case.
