BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A surveillance operation conducted by the Bossier City Police Department investigating the break-ins of multiple vehicles along the Red River has resulted in the arrest of a Shreveport man.

Detectives with the BCPD Property Crimes Unit arrested 32-year-old Kevin Lloyd Johnson Saturday morning on the first day of an undercover surveillance operation at the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway Scenic Overlook No. 1 parking lot, located across from the CenturyLink Center. That particular parking lot was targeted for the operation because several vehicles had been burglarized there since mid-December.

Detectives made contact with Johnson after he drove into the lot Saturday morning and appeared to be casing a vehicle that was parked there. Johnson was questioned at police headquarters, and detectives arrested him on six counts of simple burglary in connection with the break-ins that have occurred there.

Johnson was booked into the Bossier City Jail and later transferred to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility.
