Bossier City motel fire under investigation

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

Fire heavily damaged a room at a Bossier City motel on Tuesday afternoon, but no one was injured.

It happened at the Siesta Motel in the 2500 block of East Texas Street shortly after Noon.

Someone saw black smoke rising from the motel from across the street and called the fire department.

Firefighters were able to get the flames under control quickly in the room in the back corner of the motel, and kept it from spreading to any other rooms.

No one was renting the room at the time and was unoccupied at the time. There were no reported injuries.

Fire investigators are on the scene trying to determine what caused the fire.
