Students at Centenary College honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy with the college's fifth annual MLK Day of Service to beautify and improve the community.
Early Monday morning, student volunteers busied themselves cleaning up a dozen sites throughout the city, including local schools and non-profit organizations.
The students' beautification efforts included painting, cleaning and making repairs.
Sites which benefited from the students' service included Stoner Hill, Atkins and Creswell elementary schools, the Salvation Army and the Highland Center.
