TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -
A dog was rescued from a sewage drain Friday afternoon in Texarkana, Texas. Neighbors heard the whines coming from the drain on Smith St. near Robinson Rd. and called the Texarkana Fire Department.
The only way firefighters could get to the dog was to saw bolts off of an iron grate covering the drain.
It's unknown how long the dog was trapped 4 ft. down the drain, but her tags indicate she's from Fouke, Arkansas.
