Head football coach Steven Geter leaving Loyola

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA-TV) - After five season as the head Flyer, Steven Geter is leaving Loyola.  Announced by Loyola College Prep on Thursday, Geter is taking an administrative position at Evangel Christian Academy.  Geter led the Flyers to a 29-26 record including a 2008 appearance in the state quarterfinals.

Geter said in the release by Loyola, "I have enjoyed every moment at Loyola and I love the school and the people, but I feel like this is the best move for me and my family at this time. I will always be thankful for Loyola giving me my first opportunity to be a head coach. I know Loyola will continue to thrive and have great success in the future and I will always have a special relationship with the Flyer family."
