Columbia police are searching for three people who visited the Midlands for a funeral earlier this month and haven't been heard from since.
Police say the family of 48-year-old Brady Brown, his uncle, 67-year-old Eddie Lee Cobb, Jr., and 51-year-old family friend Ella Williams reported them missing. They were in Columbia on Jan. 4 to attend the funeral for Brown's mother.
Police say all three left Columbia on Jan. 7 in a 2006 beige or gold Dodge Stratus with paper tags. They were planning on taking Interstate 20 west to Shreveport, Louisiana so Brady could be dropped off there to pick up a truck he purchased. The other two were headed to Texas.
Relatives say they never arrived in Shreveport or Texas and haven't heard from them since. Police say repeated calls made by family members go straight to voice mail.
"I'm praying that he comes home with a sound mind and good health," said Brown's wife, Marguerite. "Just come home."
Police say the last known communication is believed to have been made from a cell phone belonging to one of the three near Birmingham, Alabama on Jan. 7.
Investigators have received information that Williams may be in need of medications.
Columbia Police have contacted law enforcement agencies in Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. SLED is also assisting in the investigation.
"We've been married for 27 years," said Brown's wife. "It's hard. It's hard not knowing where he's at."
If you recognize any of them, or the car they may have been driving, or if you have any information that can help investigators, call Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
