Several arrests in Caddo-Shreveport drug busts

Nine people were arrested this week during multiple investigations by the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force.

On Tuesday, agents conducted a traffic stop on North Hearne at Forum Drive, arresting 35-year-old Ramon Sheppard for possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine) with intent to distribute. A follow-up investigation led to warrants being executed on Poland and Kenneth streets in Shreveport with the assistance of the CPSO Special Response Team.

Tasha Gladney, 37 (not pictured), was arrested at 1811 Poland St. for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of stolen things. Agents recovered a stolen Honda ATV and a stolen air compressor. They also seized a 9mm handgun.

The second warrant was executed at 1534 Kenneth St., where agents seized approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine. No arrests were made at the location.

On Wednesday, the Task Force received information from concerned citizens that led to three related investigations in the Blanchard area. At 7735 Womack Road, three people were arrested for narcotics-related offenses. Marijuana, methamphetamine and precursors used in the manufacturing of meth were recovered. Caddo patrol deputies assisted with the investigation.

Arrested were 32-year-old Amanda Ward (not pictured) for possession of schedule II drugs (methamphetamine); 30-year-old Roy Hughes for possession of schedule I drugs (marijuana) and possession of schedule II drugs (methamphetamine); and 24-year-old Jerry McClain for possession of schedule II drugs (methamphetamine) and possession of a clandestine methamphetamine lab. Agents seized approximately 4.2 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 2.7 grams of marijuana and precursors used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Agents investigating possible drug activity at 966 Greer Road found the components of a meth lab. Kenny Moulton, 51, was arrested for possession of schedule I drugs (marijuana) and possession of a clandestine methamphetamine lab. Agents seized approximately two grams of marijuana and precursors used in the manufacture or methamphetamine.

At 9205 North St., agents arrested 51-year-old Gary Granlund for possession of schedule I drugs (marijuana) second offense following a brief investigation. Approximately one gram of marijuana was seized.

In a separate investigation Wednesday, the task force, assisted by the CPSO Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at 3926 Powell St. in Shreveport. They arrested 23-year-old Karmecia Williams (not pictured) and 31-year-old Taurus Lawrence (not pictured) for possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine) over 28 grams and violation of a drug-free zone. Agents seized approximately 39 grams of crack cocaine at the house, which is located across the street from Mooretown Elementary School.
