GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The Gregg County Sheriff's Department and DPS officers responded to a residence on Judson Road in Gregg County just after 10:30 on Monday morning following reports of a home invasion, and are now searching for three young black men wearing hoodies in connection with the crime.

The suspects were seen taking items out of a house at 6873 Judson Road. A neighbor called 911 and, when police responded, they found an elderly woman tied up in the trunk of a car.

According to the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, the woman was home alone when her doorbell rang several times. When she got up to answer the door, she found suspects in her house, one with a weapon. The victim was held at gunpoint and then bound with tape and put in the trunk of her own car in the garage. The suspects then began removing items from the house and placing them in a van.

"When we arrived the house was shut up. The Deputies and the DPS Troopers started looking around and hollering. The victim was able to holler from inside the trunk and they went in and were able to find," said Gregg County Chief Deputy Chuck Willeford.

The woman said she saw two men, but heard three voices during the crime.

One suspect was described as a tall slim black male with no facial hair and a short haircut. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie. A second suspect was a shorter black male wearing a dark ski mask and hoodie. The third suspect was not seen by the victim.

The suspects were last seen headed northbound on Judson Road in a white minivan-type vehicle. Area law enforcement are on alert.

The victim was checked out by EMS, but not transported to the hospital. She was unharmed.
