SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A fire destroyed a garage at a home in the Ingleside neighborhood late Sunday night.
Shreveport firefighters say just before 12 a.m. they responded to a report a fire at a home in the 2600 block of Desoto Street. Firefighters arrived to the and found the attached garage engulfed in flames.
Everyone in the home was able escape the fire safely. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to put out the fire.
Officials say the house had some fire and smoke damage to the attic, but the family was able to return to the home. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire and say it may be electrical because the garage had a washer and dryer in it.
