Police seek gunman in Sunset Acres shooting

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

One man was shot Thursday night in the Sunset Acres neighborhood, and police are combing the area for a shooter.

Authorities say the man was shot shortly after 7 p.m. in the 7200 block of W. Canal Boulevard. From there the man walked a couple of blocks to a house on Valley View Drive, where he got help from residents who also called police.

The man, who was shot in the back, was taken to LSU Medical Center.

Police did not give a motive for the shooting.
