First Alert Forecast: Cloudy skies on Monday for eclipse day

(WTOL) -

This week will start off busy with an eclipse on Monday and First Alert Day on Tuesday.

A few clouds are possible on Monday afternoon which may obscure the eclipse for some.

A total eclipse will not happen locally, an 80% partial eclipse is happening here.

Do not look at the eclipse without special eye protection, sunglasses will not protect your eyes.

A First Alert Day on Tuesday has been issued for scattered thunderstorms. Some may be strong.

Morning showers and thunderstorms are expected to clear and lead to potential early afternoon re-development.

The second round of storms may be strong with gusty winds, downpours and lightning.

The rest of the week is downright quiet with low humidity, comfortable conditions and sunny skies!
