SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Authorities have identified the victim of Monday night's fatal shooting in the Queensborough neighborhood.
Montrell Webber, 20, of Shreveport was pronounced dead shortly after he was rushed to LSU Medical Center, police say.
The incident began about 6:30 p.m. when police were sent to the 2500 block of Mabel Street. Officers there learned that an adult male had been shot by another adult male who reportedly ran from the scene after the shooting.
Authorities arrested Cordavien Anderson, 20, of Shreveport in connection with the shooting. Anderson, who turned himself in to authorities at police headquarters, was booked on one count of second-degree murder.
The investigation continues.
The incident marks Shreveport's third fatal shooting of 2013.
