SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police are still searching for a suspect Saturday's drive-by shooting in Queensborough that left a teen injured.

Officers were called to a home in the 3500 block of Lakeland Street just before 6:30 Saturday night, where they found a 17-year-old male inside who had been struck by a bullet that had reportedly entered the home while he slept.

The teen was taken to LSU Medical Center for treatment of what has been described as a non-life-threatening wound to the upper body.

Witnesses inside the home told investigators that they heard what sounded like a single gunshot from outside the house, followed by the teenage victim exclaiming that he had been shot.

Authorities have not developed a motive in the shooting, but believe it may have stemmed from an alleged argument between the teen and another group that occurred earlier that day.

This marks the second shooting incident in Shreveport in 2013.

Authorities urge anyone with information about this crime to contact Caddo-Shreveport Crimes Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
