From the Shreveport Police Department:
A Shreveport Police officer has been placed on administrative leave by Chief of Police Willie Shaw following allegations of alleged policy violations.
Cpl. Michael Edwards, who was hired by the department in August of 1999, has been placed on paid administrative leave in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Shreveport Fire and Police Civil Service Board.
