BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -
Police are investigating a church shooting in Bossier City, after a bullet hole was discovered in the sanctuary Tuesday afternoon.
It happened at the Barksdale Baptist Church in the 1700 block of Jimmy Davis Highway. Members of the church say they were taking down Christmas decorations when they noticed a hole in the ceiling. Upon further investigation, they found a bullet on the floor.
Police say they believe that New Year's revelers were firing guns into the air and at least one bullet made its way into the church sanctuary.
Investigators do not believe the church was targeted.
