SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

D'Aran Jackson is one of the first babies born in Shreveport in 2013.

The baby boy arrived 4:42 a.m. at LSU Medical Center, weighing 5 pounds 4 ounces and measuring 17 inches. He was born three weeks before his due date.

D'Aran has 3 sisters and a brother. Mother Cheri is doing fine.
