SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Firefighters put out a blaze that had fully engulfed a vacant house by the time they arrived Tuesday evening.

The fire began about 7:30 p.m. at a house at 344 E. 68th Street. Fire crews arrived on scene within two minutes to find a one story wood frame home fully involved with fire in the rear of the home.  Fire crews were able to bring the fire under control at 7:39 p.m., says Asst. Chief Scott Wolverton.

No one was injured in the blaze, but the building sustained heavy damage.

Authorities say there was no electricity going to the house.
