LINCOLN PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A second Shreveport man has died as a result of a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 about 12 miles west of Ruston Thursday night.

Louisiana State Police troopers say that a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by 25-year-old Michael Hubbard of Shreveport was traveling east on Interstate 20 when it crossed the median. The vehicle then struck an 18-wheeler driven by  41-year-old David Alday of Juarez, Mexico, traveling west on the interstate.

Hubbard suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lincoln Parish Coroner's Office. Two passengers in the Ford Fusion, 25-year-old Andrew Perkins of Shreveport and 23-year-old Jarde Miller of Bossier City, were transported to a Shreveport hospital with critical injuries. A minor in the vehicle was transported to a hospital in Ruston with moderate injuries.

State Police on Sunday confirmed that Perkins has died from his injuries.

Alday was wearing his seat belt and did not report any injuries.

Erma Henderson, Perkins' godmother, says Hubbard was supposed to graduate Friday from Grambling University's School of Nursing. Perkins, who was Hubbard's friend, was going to the graduation ceremony.

The exact cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
